Natural Remedies For Dry And Cracked Feet Soles

Most of us make a lot of effort when it comes to body care, but we often forget of our precious sole feet. They need attention too. If your soles are cracked and dry, then you should try the following tricks to make them silky smooth.

Soften your feet

A method by which you can repair dry and cracked soles is to soak your feet. The skin on the soles tends to be thicker than other parts of the body, and for this reason becomes more prone to cracking under constant pressure. The good news is that you will be able to soften the skin in this area.

Start by filling the tub with warm water and soap, and then sink your feet in the water for 15 minutes. Take off a foot out of the water and use a pumice stone to rub the dead skin on your sole feet. Repeat this procedure with the other foot, then dry your feet using a towel. Now, moisten your feet to keep them silky smooth.

Another remedy that can help you soften the skin of your feet is to soak them in lemon juice. Well, soak your feet in lemon juice with warm water for 10-15 minutes.

Rub your feet with a cotton towel to get rid of dead skin. Rinse and dry your feet with a towel. Don’t forget to apply a heel balm to keep your feet moist.

Rice flour

Exfoliation is important when it comes to maintaining smooth and soft soles, and therefore using rice flour as part of the scrub is highly recommended. For this recipe you will need:

  • a few teaspoons of honey
  • a handful of ground rice
  • apple vinegar

Mix all the ingredients until you create a consistent paste. You can add olive oil to the heel if you want to hydrate them even more.

You will have to soak your feet in a bath full of hot water and soap, and then rub your heels with this exfoliating scrub. Rinse after that. You can do this a few times a week until you get the desired results.
