Honey hair treatments are ideal for dyed hair, honey having natural color fixative capacity.
3 recipes for hair treatment with honey
1. Honey syrup. Prepare a syrup from 2 tablespoons of honey and half a cup of water (or more if you have long hair). Gently heat the mixture and spread it on previously washed hair. Put a plastic cap over your head and a hot towel over the cap. Wait at least an hour, making sure your hair is kept warm.
2. Treatment for dyed hair. For red-brown hair, prepare a concentrated berries tea, add 2 tablespoons of honey and follow the procedure. For dark hair, prepare an walnut leaves tea and for blonde hair you can prepare chamomile tea syrup.
3. Another excellent solution, especially for irritated scalp and dandruff, is applying honey directly on the scalp. Do this with a brush like you’re dyeing your hair roots. Heat honey in water bath until it becomes fluid. Let honey act 60 minutes.
After the 60 minutes rinse your hair with clean water. Honey is easily removed without using shampoo.
